Lüfthildis and Husband; a man: men admire and women envy Lüfthildis for.

The closer husband and Lüfthildis came to the city the parents-in-law live in, the faster she started talking and the more childish she became. Husband took her for a second breakfast and she was fighting the food on her plate, his plate and the plate in the middle as if she had to go to war for a couple of years, knowing that there is not going to be any food. He was sitting opposite her and there was no word like: “Honey don’t you think you had enough” or “I will greet your hips when  they enter the room first” or “I guess the two of you are starving”. He sat there watching her and smiling. Continue reading

Lüfthildis and Husband

Today I would like to set the Human Rights at rest. I will continue this issue later. Today I want to tell you an unusual story. A story that I was told and I think it should be spread all over the world.

I want to talk about Lüfthildis(a synonym) and her husband, two people of one kind, two people with two different parents and only the Lord knows how this could happen. They are the same creation with different skills, different genders, coming from two different cultures, two different countries but they have the same mind. Continue reading

add. Human Rights – Part 5

No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

Thank God, when I thought about this story, there were so many thousands of my experiences coming to my mind like shooting stars. So many, that I don’t know which one to talk about. Still I have to choose and I picked a very private one. One- which is one of these things between me and my fiancé. I am working in a job that I have sometimes night shifts in. I go to work late and I leave my office at around 7:30 in the morning. When I am alone, when my man is not around and when I go to our house, everything seems so cold, so empty and so loveless. Continue reading

Human Rights – Part 5

No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

I love this sentence out of many reasons. The way it is said is beautifully irrational, it is so innocent, so purely thought.

Many of you will not really understand what I mean but let me put you in picture about what I want to say. No one shall be subjected to inhuman treatment- there is no other creature on this planet enjoying torturing another of his kind but mankind. There is no other creature creating that grand variety of torturing one another like humankind. This is the difference between man and animal. We kill out of joy, we destroy out of pleasure, and we torture or treat each other inhuman because we like it.

The sentence therefore should be: No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, human or degrading treatment or punishment.

Let me scream out what burns holes in my soul since I read a book about the war in ex-Yugoslavia, which is the most brutal, the most unbelievable stories concerning treatment of other humans. Continue reading

add. to add. Human Rights – Part 4

Another unusual thing concerning my post is that I have to add something to my last post today. I want to emphasize something that I consider very important! My last post was ONLY dealing with the female situation in the “first- world”. I am very much aware that the situation in many countries of the “third-world” looks very different. The situation of women in countries like Senegal, Ethiopia, Afghanistan etc. etc. definitely do remind of slavery. The very strange thing is though, these women do not consider themselves slaves until they see or hear about women in other places of the world. Continue reading

add. Human Rights – Part 4

No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.

Most probably you already realized that this time my first post was different to what it usually looks like and this post will also be different compared to my normal of an “add.” post.

Today I would like to talk about feminism I want to point out the aims of feminists in different countries. I am aware of the fact that it politically incorrect to do so but in this case it is more than important to differentiate between 1st and 3rd world countries because the ideas behind women rights are entirely diverse.

In many third-world countries, the feminist movement is concerning the basic Human-Rights, is fighting for respect and women’s pride and dignity. They have every right to be heard, not only that but they also need support and help from each and every man and woman in the rest of the world, there are more than enough reason. Continue reading

Human Rights – Part 4

No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.

Strong sentence!

What do we today call slavery? Do we call it slavery if a woman has to take care of her children and clean the house? If yes, well done feminists or is this a wrong interpretation of the word? Slavery- how do we define this word? Sometimes I have the impression that many words are misunderstood out of a lack of knowledge. Many words are used without the knowledge of their meaning or the circumstances to make them meaningful.

We are raised with this word as a warning. We are raised with this word and the sentence it is used in is more or less always in past tense or mostly the word does not really fit. We have no idea what is going on next door and many of us think it is good that we don’t. We twist the meaning to suit our time; we bend the word and redefine it. Continue reading
